Applied for online after receiving a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) from the university. Includes the Genuine Student requirement.

United Kingdom

Student visa

Requires a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) from the university, proof of funds and English ability. The Graduate Route allows post-study work.

Malaysia

Student Pass

The university applies on your behalf through EMGS (Education Malaysia Global Services); you travel once the Visa Approval Letter is issued.

Singapore

Student's Pass

Applied for through ICA's SOLAR system after the university registers your admission.

Hong Kong (SAR)

Student visa / entry permit

The university acts as your local sponsor and usually submits the application to the Immigration Department for you.

United States

F-1 student visa

Requires a Form I-20 from the university, the SEVIS fee, and an interview at the US embassy or consulate.

Canada

Study permit

Requires a Letter of Acceptance from a designated learning institution and, in most cases, a Provincial Attestation Letter.

New Zealand

Fee Paying Student Visa

Applied for online with an offer of place from the university and evidence of funds.

Ireland

Study visa (long stay 'D')

Applied for online before travel; non-EEA students also register with immigration after arrival for a residence permission.

Netherlands

MVV + residence permit for study

The university applies to the immigration service (IND) on your behalf — you cannot apply for this permit yourself.

Switzerland

National visa D (studies)

Applied for at the Swiss embassy in your country; the canton confirms the residence permit after arrival.

Germany

National visa (study) + residence permit

Applied for at the German embassy; usually requires proof of funds via a blocked account (Sperrkonto). Converted to a residence permit after arrival.

France

VLS-TS long-stay student visa

Most applicants go through the 'Études en France' platform and Campus France before the visa application.

China

X1 student visa

Requires the university's admission notice and a JW201/JW202 form; converted to a residence permit after arrival. Apply at the Chinese embassy or visa centre in your own country — the requirements are set nationally but the submission point is local.

Japan

Student visa (ryūgaku)

The university first obtains a Certificate of Eligibility (CoE) in Japan; you then apply for the visa at the Japanese embassy.

South Korea

D-2 student visa

Applied for at the Korean embassy with the university's Certificate of Admission.

Sweden

Residence permit for studies

Applied for online with the Swedish Migration Agency after paying the first tuition instalment.

Denmark

Residence permit for studies

The university starts the case in the SIRI system; you complete it with biometrics at a Danish mission.

Belgium

Long-stay visa D (studies)

Applied for at the Belgian embassy with the university's enrolment attestation and proof of sufficient means.

Taiwan

Resident visa (studies)

Applied for at a Taipei representative office with the university admission letter; converted to an Alien Resident Certificate after arrival.
